I was immediately inspired back in 2000 when a friend and former co-worker showed me her handmade jewelry. I had always dabbled in creative
projects, but did not know my niche until I met her. She let me in
on resources and secrets that gave me a great start.
My work evolves while I try to maintain excellent form
and craftsmanship. I want to love EVERY piece I create. It is hard
for me to part with a piece but I remind myself that it will make
someone else very happy.
Creating jewelry to me is like forming small sculptures.
The positive energy flows from my hands to the wire not knowing exactly
what will be the end result. I usually start with a focal piece of
glass, stone or ceramic, and choose colors that contrast or complement.
Then with most pieces I take my visions and chosen colors and let
my hands do what they feel at the moment. I love the challenge of
forming the wire to make a stone look completely different. The spiritual
part of the process shines within the finished piece. You can almost
see what I was feeling when I created it.
